President – Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan
Around and around you go… with your wife, brother, friends, and subjects. You think that a title should give you license to say and do what you will and all will acquiesce. Why do you require fawning subservience? Look to your heart now, for I will contend with you. Stand up as a man before his maker and tell me what you are. Consider that I made everything and you are but a whiff of wind in time. You will return to dust, and only memories in others’ minds and written words about you will remain. Come and let us reason together now, for your sins are many but I will wipe them away with one stroke of my blood. The blood you have ordered shed, overtly and covertly, the blood that cries to me for justice, will not be held against you if you will only fall upon the rock. Do not let yourself be crushed by the stone rejected, for it is written that it’s a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God. I will put it in the hearts of some despised ones to dig around your base, to fertilize, and to care so that you will bear fruit to repentance and life.
Prime Minister – Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
In the desert, as a young man, you called to me. I am the God of Abraham, and that is how you addressed me. You set in motion people who do my bidding… you gave permission, unbeknownst to yourself, for ones to approach you. They are afraid, but they are faithful and will love not their lives unto death. Even if they end up underneath my throne, beheaded for their faith, it’s a good resurrection for them, but one for you unto death. So much hangs in the balance for you, and I yearn for your heart, not your head. I listen for a young voice again, full of wonder and desire. In the stillness that you still seek, I am going to come to you… in a dream, a night vision. Write it down, for it will last and is alive. Ponder, yearn, and pray.
