President – Serzh Sargsyan

The hustle and bustle of everyday life has begun to wear on you. You are dutiful, but increasingly you sigh with boredom or exasperation due to the process you are drowning in. Even your getaway does not provide solace enough because you know that you must return. You feel a death of a thousand cuts… rats nibbling on the cheese of your life. “Where will it end?” you say… “the grave?” It will end when you surrender, says the Lord. You will have tears enough, anger without limit, and finally you will burn your bridges of safety out of desperation. Do you think that the dainties of position will fulfill. Hearken back to a satisfying meal, cooked by your mother. Carefree days of soccer and friends to laugh with. I offer more than even that. I offer joy unspeakable and full of glory. It comes from a most unlikely place… your grave. If you will fall upon the rock, Christ Jesus, you will not have the rock fall on you. If you humble yourself under the mighty hand of God, you can be exalted. Now, today is the day of salvation. Now is the appointed time. Your mom’s mom prayed for you unceasingly, and these prayers have come up for a memorial before me. Choose this day.

Prime Minister – Hovik Abrahamyan

Hovik! Hovik! Delight of your mother and beloved of your father… come home. The wine of power has intoxicated you. Come home, drink coffee, eat a sweet cake fresh from the oven. Ground yourself. Do not forget your roots. Do not cast aside your family by giving perfunctory nods of acknowledgement. Callouses and scars are the punctuation in the early history of your life, written by loving hands that held you, bathed you, fed you, and cuffed you. Where will you go to garner such love? The kisses of an enemy are deceitful, but the wounds of friends and family are faithful. Blackened ruins are in the future. Tatters are for clothing. The vast desert and innumerable grains of sand will swallow up those who heap riches unto themselves. Come and confess the truth before me. A bruised heart is alive and is flesh, but a heart of stone will break and shatter as the thin ice on a newly frozen lake.  As family calls to you, so through them I call you. Come home, come home. Newly minted fashions of the day will adorn for a moment, but will reveal folly. Adorn yourself with truth and faithfulness. For I am the way, the truth, and the life. I am the faithful one.
