“Poor”…..+ (Detroit)

If I tell you that I became poor that you might be made rich, will that offend you? What will you do with true riches? Can you handle unrighteous mammon? If I prosper you with this world’s goods, will you fall away? Do you think that riches are more powerful than I am to keep you from stumbling? I will tell you that I am able to keep that which you have committed unto me against that day. So what kind of “poor” will you embrace? I said that the poor you will always have with you. I did say that “blessed are they who are poor in spirit.” Will you be rich towards God, and stay poor in spirit? Will you suffer need, yet remain full? receive riches, but stay poor in spirit. Humble yourself under my hand and I will exalt you.

Detroit: What will happen when men’s hearts fail them for fear? Can I do a new thing? New Orleans was brought low, and I have sent righteous leaders. Cry aloud now and lift up your voice like a trumpet. Seek me while I may be found. With riots in the streets and people running to and fro, how can you talk about the “good old days?” Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but you will remember the name of the Lord your God. Your ‘groove,” and “vibe” are dead. I will fill up the grooves and I will place a new song in your mouth. I will give you the song of the redeemed. Now is your time. Now is the time of my visitation. Sell all and buy of me precious oil. My Spirit I will pour out if you want it. What do you want? If I give you goodness, will you return to your vomit? Many lives hang in the balance, and many await your reply.
